Restaurants and Romance!

Please join us at Al Forno on Wednesday, October 17th to meet Courtney Febbroriello, author of Wife of the Chef: The True Story of a Restaurant and Romance, and her husband Chef Chris Prosperi.

Chris and Courtney are the owners of renowned restaurant Metro Bis in Simsbury, Connecticut. The James Beard Foundation called Metro Bis “a find—an intimate spot…with consistently superb food” and Connecticut Magazine describes the place and Chris’ cooking as “sophisticated and simple, innovative and classically grounded.” Chris leads the kitchen and handles the culinary inspiration while Courtney manages the business end, from staffing to payroll. Join us for an evening of Chris’ fabulous American bistro cuisine, paired with wines by Al Forno’s own sommelier Kyle Kelly, and hear about what actually goes on behind the scenes of a busy and successful restaurant as Courtney reads from and discusses her book Wife of the Chef: The True Story of a Restaurant and Romance.
