A Little WorkA new play byAnita Diamant and Stephen McCauley
A Little Work is a scalpel-sharp contemporary comedy about the pleasures and pitfalls of happy marriages, best friends, and facing fifty.
When best-selling self-help diva Kitty Fenochetti shows up on the doorstep of Mia Brown, her college roommate, she turns the household upside down with bandages, banter, and a nutty nurse with an unusual obsession. Although Kitty's the one in town for "work," everyone else is forced to take a long, hard look in the mirror as well. It's "The Man Who Came to Dinner" meets "Nip/Tuck," with a quick stop at Oprah's Book Club.
Join us for an unforgettable, laugh-filled evening.
As Joni Mitchell said, "Happiness is the best facelift!"

Diamond Raffle Prizes
Be one of five "lucky ladies" to go home with new bling from Boston's exceptional jewelers. (Look for details about the pieces and our generous Diamond Sponsors in your invitation and in our next email update.
Tickets are $25 for one and six for $100.

What A Walk!!

I am overwhelmed and still processing the day that was the 2007 ACS Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. This photo was taken as late as possible in order to have as many of our team members included. If you are not in the photo and walked with us a few things are possible:
A. You are on the outside of the photo and weren't captured within the frame.
B. You arrived after the photo was taken.
C. You arrived on time and then wandered off somewhere thus missing the photo.
Am already thinking of ways to remedy this for walk '08!(not to rush things)
We are almost at $20,000 for donations for the Walking With Robin team - our best year to date! The site will be up for awhile so if you'd still like to donate please visit www.readingwithrobin.com and click on the WWR logo which will bring you to the donation page. If you were there Sunday morning and would like to share your thoughts please fill in a guest book entry.
Thank you so very much!!

GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!

After so many "so-so" movies I was wondering when there would be one worth recommending (and maybe even seeing a 2nd time!) Well - this is it! Just returned from this treat of a movie. It's a movie adapted from the book which is about Jane Austen and her story and books and the movie has a "Jane Austen" subplot and the whole thing works so well! Plus - fabulous sountrack! A total win!!! Grab your friends and go!

Tomorrow's News....Today!!

Claire Cook offers keys to success
01:00 AM EDT on Sunday, October 7, 2007

Robin Kall Homonoff and author Claire Cook help raise breast cancer awareness.
Must Love Dogs author Claire Cook offered insights into becoming a success in your 40s to a group of about 80 women — most of them 40-something.
On Sept. 26, she told the women during a luncheon at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick that it wasn’t until 44 that she published her first novel, which was the best-selling Must Love Dogs. (It was made into a movie in 2005 starring Diane Lane and John Cusack.) Cook, who is 52, published her fourth novel, a comic romance called Life’s A Beach, this summer. At the luncheon, the Scituate, Mass., author said her upcoming fifth novel, Summer Blowout, is about a zany family of hair salon owners and contains a scene set in Providence.
The luncheon brought in $3,200 for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. Robin Kall, host of radio’s 5-year-old Reading with Robin on WHJJ 920-AM at 7 a.m. on Saturdays, put together the event to help boost proceeds for the annual walk on Oct. 14 starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Temple to Music in Roger Williams Park. For information visit http://makingstrides.acsevents.org or www.readingwithrobin.com.

Join us for an evening of Chris’ fabulous American bistro cuisine, paired with wines by Al Forno’s own sommelier Kyle Kelly, and hear about what actually goes on behind the scenes of a busy and successful restaurant as Courtney reads from and discusses her book Wife of the Chef: The True Story of a Restaurant and Romance.
